DESCRIPTION:Each month we choose a different movie where the theme of grief or loss is present. These films provide a safe\, shared space where group members can relate to characters who are experiencing similar emotions\, helping them feel understood and less isolated. Seeing grief portrayed on screen can also encourage Guests to reflect on their own journey\, often prompting expressions of feelings that may have been difficult to access. These movies can offer hope\, show pathways to healing\, or simply validate the complexity of their emotions\, all of which can be quite comforting. These groups will run for a specific number of sessions and focus on Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s 10 Touchstones of Grief\, a helpful tool for understanding and navigating grief. \nOur Spousal Loss Support Group offers a safe\, compassionate space for those grieving the loss of a Spouse. Each session is led by trained volunteers who have personally experienced Spousal loss\, bringing empathy\, understanding\, and a unique perspective to the group. \nWhy We Offer Separate Spousal Loss Groups: Grief looks different at every stage of life. Our Senior Spousal Loss Group provides support for those who have lost a lifelong partner and may be facing isolation or aging-related challenges. Our Younger Spousal Loss Group helps those navigating loss while balancing work\, parenting\, and rebuilding their future. By offering separate groups\, we ensure a supportive space where members can connect with peers who truly understand their journey.

Attendees must be registered guests of Julien’s House in order for us to cover the cost of your attendance OR others may attend by registering through Elle herself and working out their payment process.
