The rhythmic motion and fresh air help relieve stress and anxiety\, while the connection to nature or companionship on a walk can reduce feelings of isolation. Walking also supports physical health and brings a calming sense of routine\, helping people gradually find moments of peace amid their loss.\n\n\n\nPlease remember to dress for the weather.

DESCRIPTION:Each month we choose a different movie where the theme of grief or loss is present. These films provide a safe\, shared space where group members can relate to characters who are experiencing similar emotions\, helping them feel understood and less isolated. Seeing grief portrayed on screen can also encourage Guests to reflect on their own journey\, often prompting expressions of feelings that may have been difficult to access. These movies can offer hope\, show pathways to healing\, or simply validate the complexity of their emotions\, all of which can be quite comforting. We typically follow the movie with a short group discussion as well to speak about what resonated with the attendees. \nMonthly movie selection is e-mailed to registered Julien’s House Guests each month. time of each movie night may vary depending on film length. \nPrevious movies watched have been; UP\, This is Where I Leave You\, Rabbit Hole\, Coco… \nWe welcome your suggestions!
